The Battle of Villalar was fought on 23 April 1521 near the town of Villalar (now Villalar de los Comuneros) in Valladolid province, Spain.
It was a crucial defeat of the rebels in the Castilian War of the Communities. The rebel leaders Juan López de Padilla, Juan Bravo and Francisco Maldonado were all captured and executed.
