The Battle of Tarcal or Battle of Tokaj (Hungarian: Tarcali csata) was fought on September 27, 1527 between Habsburg-german-hungarian army led by Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor and an Hungarian army under the commander of János Szapolyai. The Battle took place near Tokaj, in Tarcal. Szapolyai were in the battle military defeated.

In the Battle of Mohács hungarian king Louis II was be killed and the hungarian nobility elect Szapolyai of new king. Other noblemans, and Croatia elect Ferdinand Austrian Archduke.
The Serbs in Voivodina in 1526-1527 under Jovan Nenad was mutiny and com over aside Austria, but have te worse.
Ferdinand in 1527 with assistence of Spain and the Papal State was attack Szapolyai and crowd out in East-Hungary.

Szapolyai's army numbered 7-8000 men, consists of hungarian, transylvanian, and serbian forces. The Habsburg army (with the Ferdinand-party hungarians) numbered 18 000 men, but 6000 men was fall in line under Niklas Graf Salm and Bálint Török.
In September 26 Szapolyai encamp near Tokaj, then near Sajólád defeat some german soldier.
Szapolyai in September 27 was attempt to raid with the germans. The serbian soldiers dump of the styrian forces in the right wing, and the hungarian forces there was succeed. However in the left wing erudite german and austrian mercenarys surmount of the hungarian cavalrys, and the hungarian hussars in the center was break through and seize Szapolyai's camp, and the hungarians wedge in the river Tisza.

Szapolyai was run away of Oradea, who institute a new army. Ferdinand feel thath evict all Hungary, however Szapolyai in 1528 push in of Transylvania. In the Battle of Szina was again have the worse and be crowded out Poland. In the future ask for help of the Ottoman sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Suleiman in 1529 dislogde the Germans of Hungary and besieged Vienna.
