The Battle of Szőlős or Battle of Seleš (Hungarian: Szőlősi csata, Serbian: Селешка битка (Seleška bitka)) was fought on May 1, 1527 between the voivodian serbs and the hungarian nobblemans (transylvanian army). The serbian commander was Jovan Nenad (Black John), the hungarian Péter Perényi, voivod of Transylvania. Perényi were in the battle defeated.

János Szapolyai the king of Hungary after 1526 few thousand serbian men was locate in the Bačka District. The serbs prove oneself to be serious soldiers and Szapolyai confide in on. Perényi's army numbered 2,000 infantry and 10,000 cavalry (transylvanian hungarians and saxons), toghether with few thousand peasant and nobbleman near the Tisza river. Jovan's army numbered 15,000 infantry and cavalry.
