Battle of Kiev

The Battle of Kiev may refer to one of two battles of World War II:
- Battle of Kiev (1941), when two German Panzer Groups encircled a Soviet army in the city
- Battle of Kiev (1943), when the city was liberated by the Soviet 1st Ukrainian Front
Kiev was besieged on numerous occasions, the most notable being:
- Siege of Kiev (968) by the Pechenegs
- Sack of Kiev (1169) by the Suzdalians
- Sack of Kiev (1240) by the Mongols under Batu Khan
