Battle of Bathys Ryax

The Battle of Bathys Ryax was fought in 878 between the Byzantines and the Paulician heretics. The Paulicians believed that Christ was not Mary's son, and they had long been persecuted by the Christian Orthodox church. The Byzantine army was led by Basil I. They were victorious.
