BattleGoat Studios is a Canadian software developer committed to developing leading edge “Intelligent Strategy Games” for the PC platform. Although Supreme Ruler 2010 is the first PC title they have developed, their game design history dates back to 1982, with the development of the original Supreme Ruler game for the Radio Shack TRS-80.

In October 2006 BattleGoat Studios announced that work had begun on a sequel to their first title. Supreme Ruler 2020 is currently scheduled for release in Q2, 2008

BattleGoat Studios was co-founded in 2000 by David Thompson and George Geczy. The design team firmly believes that PC Strategy Gamers are looking for more sophisticated games that also remain fun to play. As such, titles like Supreme Ruler 2010 are detailed and heavily researched, a cross between computer wargames and in-depth geo-political strategy games.

The core team at BattleGoat Studios also includes game designers Christian Latour and Daxon Flynn.
