Battery Island

Battery Island is a small granite island, with an area of 0.68 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of Tasmania’s Passage Island Group, lying in eastern Bass Strait south of Cape Barren Island in the Furneaux Group.

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species include Little Penguin, Pacific Gull, Silver Gull, Sooty Oystercatcher and Caspian Tern.[1]
