Batten Kill
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Batten Kill, or Battenkill, or the Battenkill River, is a 49- or 50-mile river arising in Vermont that flows into New York and is a tributary of the Hudson River. As "Kill" means river, it is grammatically redundant to call it "Battenkill River", but it is not known what is locally used naming for the river.
The river is known for its fishing. The Shushan Covered Bridge crosses it. The headquarters of the Orvis Corporation are located upon it.
