Bath is a borough in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in the Lehigh Valley region of the state.

The population of Bath was 2,678 at the 2000 census.

Bath is located at 40°43′36″N, 75°23′25″W (40.726556, -75.390338)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.4 km²).0.9 square miles (2.3 km²) of it is land and the rest of the area is covered with water.

Bath is located 6 miles north of Bethlehem at the intersections of PA Route 248 and Route 512 and it's located 4 miles west of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

Bath's elevation is 450 feet above sea level.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,678 people, 1,061 households, and 692 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,960.5 people per square mile (1,148.9/km²). There were 1,126 housing units at an average density of 1,244.8/sq mi (483.1/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 95.97% White, 1.49% African American, 0.04% Native American, 0.67% Asian, 0.63% from other races, and 1.19% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.76% of the population.

There were 1,061 households out of which 34.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.7% were married couples living together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.7% were non-families. 28.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the borough the population was spread out with 26.0% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 33.3% from 25 to 44, 19.8% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 91.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.8 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $40,825, and the median income for a family was $52,300. Males had a median income of $37,039 versus $26,053 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $18,724. About 6.4% of families and 7.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.9% of those under age 18 and 12.6% of those age 65 or over.
