Article has some major problems,

  1. WP:LEAD is too short.
  2. Notable Basketball sellers is borderline advert, bad refs as well for that
  3. not much prose around, lots of stubby sections
  4. Can you find an non-fair use image for Image:Basketball ball.jpg, they are easy to find, just take an pic and edit.
  5. there are other problems as well but that's it for now.

[edit] Major Changes

Hey folks, i just spent an hour or two overhauling this article and i think I've done enough for now, I may have included too much information in the part about specifications from the different leagues, but i think it is a fairly useful reference because most people curious enough to look up an actual basketball would be curious about the specifics as well, even still some of it can probably go. I also linked from to Basketball (the game). The article still needs a lot of work, especially when it comes to history and i think i am guilty of using some of the bad style points from the last edits and adding to them to make them more cogent instead of removing them entirely, anyway ill probably be done with all of my revisions in the next 24-48 hours, which will probably include adding a lot of links and trying to beef up some of the information that is lacking, so it would probably be best if you held off on cutting some of my unsourced statements until monday or tuesday. Otherwise id be happy to get some help on this, its been quite a bit of work. Wlf211 01:02, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
