[edit] Lag in the time zone and regulators

I just read here, that because of a lag in the time zones the bank went broke. And on top of that that in this lag the regulators came in and liquidated the bank. I think this needs a bit more explanation as I am not capabable of thinking of a way how a bank could be liquidated in a few hours?
