The article notes:
As of late-2005, 63 nations have ratified the Basel Ban Amendment; 62 are required for it to enter into force.
Which makes it appear as if it had already entered into force, but the ban's official page says:
The Amendment has not yet entered into force. Entry into force shall take place upon ratification by at least three-fourths of the Parties who accepted it.
3/4 of 166, rounded up, is 125. So 62 more are required for it to enter into force (however, I don't think that was what the wikipedian intended to say, because that 62 dates long before the 63). Also, I'm in doubt regarding the number of parties to the convention and to the ammendment. The convention's official page says 170. --Agent Fog 14:30, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
