The following comments were left by the assessors: (edit ° history ° watch ° refresh) The rationale for this statistic, and its difference from (improvement upon?) James' Runs Created needs to be spelled out or illustrated more clearly. In other words, why is this a valuable or notable statistic? In addition, it's a bit odd that the "source" for the statistic is an apparently deleted internet posting, and further that there is no date given for the invention. |

I'm not entirely sure what needs to be spelled out clearer... Base Runs models the run-scoring process more accurately than RC. It handles the home run far more appropriately than RC. It maintains its predictive accuracy at extreme conditions, which neither RC nor linear weights do. It is superior to RC in every way except ease of use.
