Image:Basicode.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A BASICODE logo, presumably created on a KC 85 computer.

The German inscription is:

Ein Esperanto fuer Computer
BASICODE
Aus Holland im Rundfunk der DDR

which translates to:

An Esperanto for computers
BASICODE
From Holland in GDR broadcasting

[edit] Source

This is taken from kc85emu.de, at this location. The image is used in this article, which is a scan of the article "Basicode, ein Esperanto für alle Rechner" by Prof. Horst Völz, released in the German Democratic Republic computer magazine radio fernsehen elektronik (rfe), issue 9/1989. The rfe magazine still exists and its owner, the Huss-Unternehmens-Grippe presumably has inherited the copyright.

[edit] Fair use rationales

[edit] in BASICODE

  • This image illustrates the article on BASICODE in a unique way
  • It is impossible to create a free equivalent of the image
  • The use of the image does in no way interfere with the commercial interests of the copyright holder
