The bastard sturgeon, fringebarbel sturgeon, ship sturgeon, spiny sturgeon, or thorn sturgeon (Acipenser nudiventris) is a species of fish in the Acipenseridae family. It is found in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, possibly Georgia, and possibly Turkmenistan.
