Bastard Noise is a noise music band founded in 1991 by Eric Wood, Henry Barnes, and Bill Nelson. The band was initially a side project of Wood's and Barnes's power violence band Man Is The Bastard.
Bastard Noise often collaborates, and has had a number of members or almost-members during the years. One of the more prolific ex-members is John Wiese, who joined the Bastard Noise lineup in 1998 and contributed in updating the sound of the band. Wiese is however no longer a member of Bastard Noise.
