[edit] Episode recap
A basketball game (Picnic food is used instead of an actual basketball). is taking place at Jon’s house. It features Jon, Odie and Nermal playing against Garfield. Jon tells his team that they need to get food into the picnic basket because Garfield ate all the food before they left the driveway when they tried having picnics during the past. Despite Jon’s team’s efforts, Garfield leads a shutout that goes against them. After the game, Odie accuses Garfield of having cheated his way through the game. They then get into an argument.
[edit] Notes
- The mice that are seen in this episode speak rather than do thought speech.
- Odie hits a popcorn machine, similar to Hearn's famous catchphrase. This was the only Chick Hearn catchphrase used in the episode.
[edit] Quotes
Chick: Garfield, congratulations on a great game. You devoured an entire picnic! You gotta be proud.
Garfield: I am, Chick. Real proud. And I’d also like to say this is probably the dumbest episode we’ve done all season.
