Basil Gabbidon

Basil Gabbidon (born Basil Glendon Gabbidon, 29 October 1955, Buff Bay, Jamaica) is a guitarist / vocalist, and a founding member of the reggae band Steel Pulse.

Gabbidon lives in Birmingham, England, and is currently developing a new album featuring Paul Beckford (bass guitar), Colin Gabbidon (drums), Faisal x (keyboards), Sonia Clarke (vocals), Leonie Smith (vocals), Nirvana (vocals), Alvin Davis (saxophones), Errol Smith (trombone) and Cho Cho (riddim guitar). After playing the dub stage at the Glastonbury Festival on 23 June 207, the newly named band Reggaerockz, played the Glade Festival, The Cross in Moseley, Birmingham and in Hereford.

Currently Gabbidon is working alongside Alex Williams, performing with Simply Blue, and collaborating with a huge number of Birmingham based artistes. He has toured with Ken Boothe, Steel Pulse and Buju Banton. He is also forming a youth band 'Love Control' - Sarah Walton, Michael Walton, Nicole, Shuheb Ahmed, Nawaz and Reece.
