Basiglio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 13 km south of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,444 and an area of 8.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Basiglio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Milano 3, Cascina Vione, and Cascina Colombaia.
Basiglio borders the following municipalities: Zibido San Giacomo, Rozzano, Pieve Emanuele, Lacchiarella.
