Basic Pictures

Basic Pictures (Traditional Chinese: 基本映画) is a Hong Kong production company that was established in 2002 by film producer, director, and cinematographer Andrew Lau.
The first few films from Basic Pictures were the Infernal Affairs trilogy. It has also produced other films that Lau has either produced or directed, such as Initial D, Moonlight in Tokyo, the Andy Lau-Cecilia Cheung film Cat and Mouse and Confession of Pain.
