Bashour

Bashour or Bachour is an Arabic surname that is unique to some Christians in the Middle East mainly Antiochian or Greek Orthodox and less commonly to Roman Catholics. The term Bashour means "giver of the best news" or "like the Apostle" in Arabic it stems from the word Bishara which means "the one with the Word of God" as well as "the last warrior that will fight for God" . It is popular in the following countries: Syria, Lebanon,France, Palestine, Egypt and the diaspora Canada, USA, Mexico, South America and Australia. It can also be given as a first name.
