Basaveshvara Engineering College

Basaveshwara Engineering College was started in 1963 at Bagalkot in Karnataka. The college is currently affiliated with VTU.

The Basaveshwar Engineering College was started in the year 1963 offering bachelor degrees in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad. At present it offers the degree programs in ten disciplines and five post graduate programs. The College is a Government aided institution affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum in Karnataka and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. College campus is laid on an elevated stretch of land of over 100 hectares on the outskirts of the city and is adjoining to New Bagalkot town. The college has an administrative block, Lecture hall complex, various departmental buildings, Library, hostels, staff quarters, cafeteria, etc. An auditorium and a conference hall with seating capacities of 350 and 100 respectively are on the campus
