[edit] Window screen, Napoleon I of France, and some confusion

Thank you for your message. I must admit I'm a bit confused. As I understand it, you made a contribution to Window screen, as did an anon user at from IP 147.35.248.6; he/she then (i) made a POV contribution to Napoleon I of France which I reverted and left a message about (here) (ii) made a silly contribution to Fantasy football (American) which user:Storkk reverted & left a message about. Forgive me if I'm slow here, but why do you think that messages left for the anon 147.35.248.6 at his talk page refer to your contributions? Talk messages for him are at User_talk:147.35.248.6, talk messages for you are at this page. Drop me another message and let's sort this out. Mr Stephen 21:32, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Is there anything left to clean up about the mistaken identity? I made no contributions to Napoleon or fantasy football, nor do I recognize the IP address 147.35.248.6. I frankly never actually know what IP addresses the cable company assigns to me, but I assume the address changes dynamically. Can someone simply hijack my name and make all kinds of silly contributions with it? I thought the password would protect that.
My posts have been on mundane things like window screens and muntins. Useful but obscure, but certainly not trash. Check them out.
As far as I'm concerned, you (Barrister noir) haven't been accused of anything, and I don't see anything in your contribution history to suggest that your account has been compromised. Please don't regard window screens and muntins as mundane; all contributions are welcome. Regards, Mr Stephen 09:37, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
