[edit] Harringay Stadium

I'm not a speedway fan myself, but I noticed that you'd removed a speedway link on the Harringay Stadium page. I left it there because it seemd to link to potentially useful stuff for someone who's interested in Speedway - all the Harringay results for example.

Did you have a specific reason for removing it?

Although I believe you added that link in good faith, as far as I know it is considered as spam (see Wikipedia:Spam) and it will be deleted eventually by someone. Feel free to undo my version if you disagree. BarretBonden (talk) 16:11, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Nooo. I didn't add it. I left what someone else had added because I considered that it gave potentially useful extra info to someone interested in speedway. I'll take a look at the spam policy and take it from there. Cheers. hjuk (talk) 16:26, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your note. It should be appearing any time soon on the Main Page. In a couple of days time, you will be able to see how many people clicked on the hook and read the article by going to this site: [1]. There should be a big "spike" on 31st May. I find that having an article on DYK tends to boost "visitor numbers" from a couple of dozen to over a thousand on that day, which feels nice! Hassocks5489 (tickets please!) 12:44, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
