[edit] February 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Lonnie Frisbee, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. [edit] Norman
You need more than just an uncited claim, and you should lose the editorializing. That page reads like a private memorial, and that's against policy. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 08:08, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

It is unfair to Lonnie's memory to say that he was a "closeted gay man." That is not what he was, and you are making a judgement call upon his life by writing that that none of you are qualified to make. When Lonnie became a Christian, he believed that he put that life behind him. That was his testimony. That is what he believed. That is what he said. There is no proof that he went back to this lifestyle other than a sparse few times that he revealed to close friends. When you use the phrase "closeted gay man," it suggests that he continued in homosexual behavior concurrently with his ministerial life, and that this was much more prevalent in his life than is the case. It is a difficulty with the language that we don't have terms for places along the spectrum that he may have landed, but the phrase "closeted gay man" is unfair and inaccurate. I thought this site was about being accurate... not stubbornly saying that because someone wrote the phrase that if I, the person that brought Lonnie's life to attention, am vandalizing their work. My documentary and writing is the only place where Lonnie's life is ever spoken about. I am the only one that has ever had any interest in this guy. I find it unbelievable that I have to keep coming in here and justify removing that phrase. Please stop putting it back. It is inaccurate. If this site is about telling the truth, stop undoing it. - I never heard of this guy, but the article doesn't indicate that he was very well "closeted", so that description is probably inaccurate and POV-pushing. Actually, though, the site is about presenting verifiable facts, which is why I reverted your uncited statement about a documentary in the Norman article. If you can find a citation for it, then you can use it. You should know, though, that if you are literally the only one interested in this guy Lonnie, you are risking having it deleted on the grounds of non-notability. - This user has also claimed on my talk to be the documentarian of the most notable, and I believe only documentary on Frisbee. I doubt they are as that documentary makes it pretty clear that Frisbee was gay and closeted about his homosexuality. I think the article spells that out without going into what he did with other men and who who "partied with", where, etc. If any reliable sources can show he wasn't gay or closeted then please share them.
