OK listen we can talk this over calmly. Without starting an edit war. I have been editing the list of suicide bombings in the Iraq war long before you cam. So please stop deleting the numbers of bombings per month. Those numbers are according to the list below the monthly totals. Even to satisfy your desire that there are references to the numbers I put the references that send the user to the apropriat part of that article so he can check the numbers himself. So stop deleting them those are verified numbers, checked numbers. They stic they have been proven so please stop deleting. You are just hurting the article with that. Listen it's OK no prob. You are right the numbers may not be all right, it may not be all right to put incorect numebrs on the list but they will be eventualy. As time passes more references for more bombings will surface and the numbers are most likely to increase. Listen look at another list that me and user Public have been doing at List of Insurgents killed in Iraq. Monthly figueres there are also most likely incorect but they are growing each they as me and Publics check the Net. But besides that we do put the numbers that we have so far. So anything is better than nothing. The numebrs will get better in time. The articles are there not to be correct from the first moment they are created but other users are suposed to contribute that the articles get better and better. I checked the Brookings data that you provided the link to and I don't think that we should use it because according to them around 446 suicide bombers have been killed in the war but according to the data that I compiled in the article more than 800 have been killed and still counting. Like you said the year 2006 and end of 2005 have not all been checked through yet. By my count at least 1,100 suicide bombers have been killed. So no I don't think that we should use that data. I have read the article http://www.nationalhomelandsecurityknowledgebase.com/Research/International_Articles/VBIED_Terrorist_Weapon_of_Choice.html for which you sent me the link and in part actualy it supports my claim. In the article it is said that:
Don’t think that the VBIED, which may sound like typical army jargon, simply describes a car bomb. From the buses that are commandeered into causing mass accidents (Israel) to boat bombs (USS Cole) and even the airliners (9/11) used as WMD’s, the VBIED can come in many forms. As all security professionals know, we should think the unthinkable when it comes to terror in general but especially so with a VBIED.
Translation : SUICIDE BOMBERS

[edit] Sources for the bombings in Iraq
I agre with you McClatchy can be a good source for incidents and yes we should point out the targets of the attacks. But one thing watch out that your text is not to identical with the one from the source because a Wikipedia administrator has the right to delete that because of copyright violation. Also check out www.antiwar.com they have a comprehensiv listing of all war-related incidents during one day in Iraq and we should also use that as a source. Plus, I think that we have almost achived an exact number of attacks in Iraq during the war, by my count there has been at least 1,100 suicide bombings in Iraq, we have managed to confirm almost 900 suicide bombers killed. That means only 200 more to go. A little bit more and the list will be the most exact and comprehensive list ever. We should concetrate on the year 2006, because we have already verified the numbers for 2003,2004,2005 and 2007. Only 2006 is left partialy unchecked. Bye.Top Gun 21:45, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Listen I am not going to fight with you over this.
Number one: The Fallujah attack, for God's sake try to read a little bit more thoroughly here you go here is an article that confirms it was a suicide bomber http://www.aswataliraq.info/look/english/article.tpl?IdLanguage=1&IdPublication=4&NrArticle=48728&NrIssue=2&NrSection=1 it says "A suicide bomber blew up an explosive belt strapped to his body at a police checkpoint near al-Somoud bridge in al-Resafi neighborhood in western Falluja on Friday afternoon"
Number two: The two failed suicide bombing attacks, the Baquba and Tikrit attacks, it doesn't matter if the bombers were killed before the attack and if the bombs failed to detonate does were attempted suicide attacks even if they failed this list is a list of all suicide attacks in Iraq even the failed ones or the atempted ones I never saw anywhere that it says that we should not include these as well. Does were suicide attacks and this is a list of suicide attacks.
And Number three:
The chlorine attack. The military uses the term VBIED they usualy mean under this term eather a remote controled car bomb or a SUICIDE CAR BOMB, also that reference that I put says it was a suicide bombing and I read an article, but I can't find it again now, in which a soldier who was on duty at the base at the time of the attack describes how he saw the suicide bomber heding toward the base and shot him as he was aproching the base.
I don't have time to fight with you over this because I already have my hands full editing the List of insurgents killed in Iraq, the Iraq war and this.
Maybe we should remove the number of attacks and leave the number of attackers all together.Top Gun
Regarding your problem with the inclusion of the ATTEMPTED suicide bombings you said that we should leave out attacks which were not INTENDED but ATTEMPTED, attacks that were not martyrdom but posibly forced attacks were the attacker did not want to attack but was forced to? Then we should remove more than half of the attacks which we have stated in the article because there are reports that a large number of attacks are being carryed out by people who are forced to by the insurgents in situations where they are holding their familys hostage.Top Gun
I agree about updating with citations from sitest that are not deleted after a period of time, www.antiwar.com can be used they have a lot of citations that are not deleted at all. As for the definition of a suicide-bomber I agree with you not every one of them is a suicide bomber but those who are riding cars filled with explosives and who are wearing explosive vests are bombers in my book.Top Gun

Listen OK as far as it goes about the date, they both happaned on July 9th BUT they are no the same incidents but different ones. The first one with only one soldier killed was reported on July the 9th and the second was reported on July the 10th it means that the second incident happened very late on the 9th so was reported the next day. There is no evidence that the two incidents are not the same, it's not that strange to have two attacks on the same day in the same disctrict at different times. Also you say that antiwar.com stated that it happened on the same day BUT antiwar.com stated it as two different incidents.Top Gun
