[edit] Need to add to the article

I am still looking for:

  • More about the sports, maybe even the 'goalpost incident' back in 1999
  • More information about the band (maybe information about Mr. Branson's incident, though we do need to adhere to Wikipedia's policies)
  • Information about Coach Tanner and his records
  • A copy of the school seal to post at the top of the page ("All students can learn" emblem) and maybe some pictures of the campus from the outside.
  • Any other famous alumni I missed

WillMcC 19:43, 23 October 2006 (UTC) (who still remembers the monster in the closet, block scheduling (ugh!), Mr. Baker's cars, the Golf Cart Guy, graduation at TECO, playing GTA in computer class, BC Calc, Mr. D's photo class, writing for the Chronicle, Mr. Surfus speeding down the halls, and most importantly, the student handbook.

Hello WillMcC! Glad to see someone working on this article! I'm sure that information about Mr. Branson is widely available (and sourcable) through NaplesNews or the like. The emblem might not be permitted under copyright, but the school logo is permitted...the only thing is there seems to be no logo publicly available... Photos are usually permitted if you took them, but anything else isn't legal. - Jake - Bladeswin | Talk to me | 04:44, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
I've just sent an e-mail to Mr. Dietrich (he's been teaching there since the school first opened, and he does the web page in addition to Photography and Computer Graphics courses) asking for more information and the possibility of donating images for this article. I am a little worried about students vandalizing the page though. WillMcC 17:59, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
It happens. I'm from GCHS and created the GCHS article (as well as a few other high schools and the School Board page wp) and it gets vandalized a lot in-house by students who think it'll be funny. 9 times out of 10, someone reverts it before I get to it, usually by anti-vandal bots and people who monitor the recent changes page. Don't let a fear of vandalism scare you, anyone can revert a page back to its previous state. - Jake - Bladeswin | Talk to me | 21:20, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
I never did hear back from Mr. D, but I recently dug up some pictures I took when I was a student, though I don't think the campus has changed much since then. I'm still looking for pictures from the front though. -WillMcC 21:59, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
