[edit] Verify Accuracy of Data

Some of the data and specifications in this article appear to be erroneous. I seriously doubt for example that the max effective range of a .50 caliber sniper rifle is only 1200 meters. Comments/corrections from anyone with knowledge of this weapon would be appreciated. Hebron 05:10, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Corporal Rob Furlong of the Canadian Forces has a confirmed kill made with a TAC-50 .50 caliber rifle at a range of 2430 meters(about a mile and a half). Most .50 BMG based weapons have an effective range around 2 kilometers. But more to the point: This article is supposed to be about the .338_Lapua_Magnum chambering M98, not any .50 rifle. Which does have a max effective range of around 1200 meters. I'm also fairly certian the part about only one existing is some kind of confusion with another weapon. But there is very little information about this rifle avialable online. Evil genius fin 19:56, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
