I removed the redirect on this page as I felt the article on Ceilidhs did not describe barn dances. Having just been to a typical barn dance I was writing a blog entry on it and felt the article that Barn dance pointed to was lacking in its description and could not be applied to barn dancing. Match 10:10, Mar 5, 2005 (UTC)

Probably not relevant to the article, but people might be interested to know that, at least in the mid to late eighties, some English primary schools taught barn-dancing and its steps (do-si-do etc) as a form of PE. PeteVerdon 00:50, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
