The tickled trout has been closed for a number of months, but reopened on Monday 13th March 2007. The old Pump is a Gastro Pub not a 'session' pub. The Hare and Hounds is your best bet. But don't go in looking to act up or cause bother , the whole pub will turn on you. This village is turning into some kind of ghetto with the wild dogs bombing about and the guys with sticks. All my neighbours are nutters.
I would concur with gentlemans comments as detailed above. The Old Puff is indeed a gastro pub that serves rather excellent fare. I would particularly recommened The Bishops finger and turkey twizzlers.
