The article says "coal mining has always been unprofitable" -- surely this isn't literally true or else the coal wouldn't be mined in the first place. Tlogmer 13:49, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- It's all relative. The Russians mine only a little coal, use many miners and support staff to do that, BUT the expenses are in roubles and the income is in Euro/Krona/Dollars. It's like sending tourists in orbit for only 20m dollars. The Russians will put prodigeous effort in getting very few dollars. Feel free to change the article, but if you put it as profitable, you should explain why. Cheers, Vincent 22:14, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
