Bartholomew of Pisa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bartholomew of Pisa may refer to
- Bartholomew Albizzi (d.1342), Franciscan hagiographer
- Bartholomew Rinonico (d. c. 1401)
- Bartholomew a S. Concordio of Pisa, (d. 1347) Dominican canon lawyer
According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the fact that there were two Friars Minor named Bartholomew living in Pisa at the same time has caused considerable confusion, and some writers, following Marianus of Florence, Mark of Lisbon, and Luke Wadding, have attributed to Bartholomew Albisi the famous "Book of Conformities", which was really written by Bartholomew Rinonico.
