Bart Smits

Bart Smits (born March 17, 1972 in Oss) is a Dutch heavy metal singer. He was the original singer in The Gathering, and he sang on their first album Always..., released in 1992. The following year he left them to form Wish. After three full-length albums and four EPs, the band split up in 2003. Smits' latest work is Wish's Single, released in 2003.

The albums Monochrome and Jane Doe are in somewhat the same style as the Gathering album Always... album from the Gathering. Differences with the Always... album is that Bart Smits doesn't use grunts on these first two Wish albums, although still using a deep voice. Monochrome was not popular when it was first released but now it is considered as a must get for people who are into melodic metal, it's a rare to get gem nowadays though...

Later albums from Wish are totally different in style (rock and even salsa...)

Ground Zero Heaven was distributed by the band themselves (didn't found a publisher?)
