Bartley Louis Braverman (born February 1, 1946 in Los Angeles, California) is an actor who is well known for guest starring on many shows. He is probably best known today for his Match Game appearances. He has appeared on many popular shows including I Love Lucy, Vega$ (where he played Dan Tanna's legman, Binzer), The West Wing, Seinfeld and M*A*S*H. He was also the voice of Puggsy on Fangface.
Braverman developed an illness in the early 80's while still starring in Vega$. After a couple of years of intermittent seizures, it was finally diagnosed as epilepsy. He would go for weeks without a seizure and then go several days with multiple seizures several times a day. This condition forced him to quit acting on live television and on stage. (He had been part of a successful improv group called "War Babies.") After Vega$ ended, he cut back on his acting and began writing.
In 2005 Braverman had brain surgery at UCLA Medical Center that has completely cured his epilepsy. His script, Season Tickets, is in pre-production as a possible feature film to be directed by his brother, filmmaker Chuck Braverman.
