Bartłomiej Pękiel

Bartłomiej Pękiel (d. c. 1670) was a notable Polish composer in the 17th century.

Pękiel was the assistant of Marco Scacchi when the latter was head of the Royal Chapel in Warsaw, and later was Kapellmeister himself in the years 1649-1655. After that, he moved to Kraków, where he led the cathedral orchestra after the death of Franciszek Lilius in 1657.
