William Barry Wood a.k.a. Barry Wood (born May 4, 1910) was an American football player. He was quarterback during the 1929-1931 seasons. He appeared on the cover of Time magazine in November 21, 1931. Barry Wood graduated from Harvard College in 1932 with the distinction of summa cum laude. He wrote a book called “What Price Football - a player’s defence of the game” in 1932. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1980.
