Barry Sobel (born April 8, 1959) is an American actor and comedian.

Sobel grew up in Brooklyn, New York.

During the 80s Barry toured the comedy circuit heavily. His routine centered around rapping in a Beastie Boys style. In the 1987 film Punchline he had a small part but played a more prominent off screen role as comedic advisor to Tom Hanks. Barry was also a writer for Saturday Night Live during it's 2000-2001 season (which was one of the seasons the writing staff was nominated for an Emmy).

Barry starred in the final season on 227, and voice-over work as himself on Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, as well as Chico on the series The Boondocks, and guest starred as an Angel on The Parent 'Hood.
