Barry John Ashby (born 21 November 1970 in Park Royal) is an English former professional footballer who played for Watford, Brentford and Gillingham during a 17-year professional career.
During his time at Gillingham, Ashby made over 320 appearances. He was released by Gillingham when he turned down a contract extension, and left the club on 31 May 2005. He made a return to football with Welling United, where he linked up with his former team-mates Matt Bodkin and Adrian Pennock, the latter being the Welling manager at the time. Ashby left Welling in May 2006.
On 22 May 2008, Ashby was announced as the first team manager of Margate.
