Barra de Mira is a small village located on the coast of Portugal, it is part of the municipality of Mira, Coimbra district, and it is the northernmost part of the municipality. It has both a beach and woods. In Barra de Mira, most of its people dedicate themselves to traditional agriculture and fishing. Many of its citizens have emigrated to other countries of Europe, North America and Brazil.
This small location has a small church, two schools of primary education (grades 1 through 4), a day care, and a few restaurants/cafes.
