Baron D. Waqa is a Nauruan political figure, from Boe.

Waqa is a former Minister of Education in the Nauruan Government.

A colleague of former President of Nauru, Ludwig Scotty, he has represented the constituency of Boe in the Parliament of Nauru.

Waqa was one of President Scotty's ministers who remained loyal to his Administration during the ministerial crises which occurred in 2007. Consequently, Waqa was not invited to serve in the subsequent Administration of President Marcus Stephen which later took office.
