[edit] Barlovento Lyrics

Barlovento (Eduardo Serrano)

— I —

Barlovento, Barlovento,

tierra ardiente y del tambor, (repeat the first two lines)

tierra de las fulias y negras finas,

que llevan de fiesta

su cintura prieta

y al son de la curveta

y el taqui-taqui de la mina. (repeat the last two lines)

— II —

Sabroso que mueve el cuerpo

la Barloventeña cuando camina,

sabroso que suena el taquiti-taqui

taqui sobre la mina.

— III —

Que vengan los conuqueros

para el baile de San Juan,

que vengan los conuqueros

para el baile de San Juan,

que la mina está sonando

taqui-taquiti-taqui-ta-quiti-ta

taqui-taqui-taquiti ta

taqui-taqui-taquitita

taqui-taqui-ta.
