Barleythorpe

Barleythorpe is a village in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. It is located about a mile north-west of Oakham.

Barleythorpe Hall was a home of Lord Lonsdale and later an elderly person's home (until 2006). Alongside is the training and conference centre of EEF East Midlands and Mid-Anglia.

In 2001 Barleythorpe had a population of 176. It has benefitted from the Oakham Bypass since January 2007.
