Barkat Gourad Hamadou

Barkat Gourad Hamadou (Arabic: بركات غوراد حمادو) (born 1930) was the Prime Minister of Djibouti from October 2, 1978 until March 7, 2001. In 2000, he spent several months in France for medical treatment after suffering a stroke. Although he was re-elected vice-president of the People's Rally for Progress in early 2001, his resignation as prime minister due to poor health was accepted by President Ismail Omar Guelleh on February 6, 2001,[1] and he was replaced by Dileita Mohamed Dileita the next month.
