Barja ( برجا ) is a town in the Chouf District of Lebanon. Barja has a population of approximately 22000 people. It lies 25 km south of the capital Beirut, at the midway point between Beirut and Sidon. Barja's residents are Sunni Muslims.Barja is the second most populated town in the so called IKLIM AL KHARROB after chhim (or sh-heem) (part of Chouf).
