Barhatta (Bengali: বারহাট্টা) is an Upazila of Netrokona District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Barhatta is located at Kangsha River close to the haor areas.

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Barhatta has a population of 142174. Males constitute are 51.42% of the population, and females 48.58%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 71214. Barhatta has an average literacy rate of 23.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
