Bardas (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bardas or Vardas was a medieval Greek name of Armenian origin, originally alluding to Saint Vardan. Some genealogists hypothesize that three Byzantine nobles named Bardas descended from Mamikonians:
- Bardas, uncle and regent under Michael III.
- Bardas Skleros, a famous rebel against Basil II.
- Bardas Phocas, another famous rebel against the same Emperor.
