Barbarossa (Italian: 'Red Beard') may refer to:

• Barbarossa, nickname of three famous people in history:
  • Frederick I (Barbarossa) (1122-1190)
  • Barbarossa I (c. 1474-1518), an Ottoman-Turkish privateer and Bey of Algiers
  • Barbarossa (Ottoman admiral) (c. 1478-1546), an Ottoman-Turkish privateer and Admiral-of-the-Fleet
• Operation Barbarossa, the codename used by Nazi Germany for its invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II.
