Barbara Hannah Anita Burke (born 13 May 1917) is a former British athlete who competed mainly in the sprints and Hurdles.
She competed for Great Britain in the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, Germany where she won the silver medal in the 4 x 100 metres with her team mates Eileen Hiscock, Violet Olney and Audrey Brown[1].
In the 1938 British Empire Games, in Sydney, Burke won the 80 metres hurdles but was unplaced in the 100 yards sprint. At this competition, she competed for South Africa[2].
