Baotou Airport is an airport in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China (IATA: BAV, ICAO: ZBOW). Baotou Airport was founded preliminarily in 1934 and opened in 1956. The airport is 14 miles from downtown areas and taxi or bus is available.It is currently class 4D airport. Runway 13-31 is 9186 feet long and 200 feet wide. It is equipped at both ends with Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), Approach Lighting Systems (ALS) with sequenced flashers, and touchdown zone (TDZ) lighting. It is capable of landing and departing aircraft under Boeing 737-900 and Boeing 767-300ER.
