[edit] Bananarama

Hey, thanks for all your good edits to the Bananarama article. Just two quick things:

  • Use the "show preview" button to check your work before submitting it. This keeps the edit history from getting clogged up with multiple, repeated edits by the same person.
  • Watch your wikilinks (see the last edit I made to the page). If a band has a common word or phrase as their name, chances are there is a disambiguation page for it. And of course, using the "Show Preview" button and testing your links beforehand will prevent having to go back and correct errors  :-)

Otherwise, it's looking really good! See ya..... -- eo 21:16, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More Bananarama

Howdy! I've moved Bananarama's discography to its own page and I'm slowly but surely going thru all of the singles (chronologically) to make an article for each one. I've got the cover images all ready to go!  :-) You seem to have a great interest in the group and you're knowledgable so please check them out and contribute in any way that you can.... and of course fix any errors I make. I'll try to go as fast as I can but I wanna make sure I get everything right, so bear with me. Later.... -- eo 18:44, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] B-sides

Hey.... I was searching around online and I found this: [1]. Looks like a bootleg of some sort but the titles at least look legit. If you click on the image you can see it enlarged so its easier to read. There may be some details that need to been looked into.... like for example I have the 12" single of "Cruel Summer" and "Cairo" is on the B-side but I'm pretty sure that the 7" just had a dub version of "Cruel Summer". I think this cover also incorrectly titled "Give Us Back Our Cheap Fares". Anyway, thought it'd be interesting to show you, perhaps some of these can be incorporated into the discography page. -- eo 01:58, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Year links

Howdy. Just a quick note, re your edit at Gibson, that linking years by themselves isnt required, and some editors (like me!) discourage it. See the chunk from MOS:DATE#Partial dates, particularly: "There is less agreement about links to years. Some editors believe that links to years are generally useful to establish context for the article. Others believe that links to years are rarely useful to the reader and reduce the readability of the text." That's the short version (the arguments went on for months! in the end we all agreed to disagree) Just wanted to let you know :) --Quiddity 06:45, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Categorization

Hi...please don't add Category:Canadian musical groups to articles that are already filed in a subcategory such as Category:Canadian rock groups, Category:Canadian pop music groups, Category:Canadian country music groups, etc. Wikipedia has a rule against simultaneously filing an article in both a category and its own subcategories. Thanks. Bearcat 14:37, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re:You Tube

Hi there.... yeah I watched a whole bunch of the Bananarama YouTube thingies... who knew there were so many British shows celebrating their longevity? I liked the 3-part documentary/interview (I forget the name of the show) and of course I got a kick out of watching the Siobhan reuinion performance of "Venus" at G-A-Y. Are you into Shakespears Sister or Siobhan's solo stuff at all? -- eo 18:18, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Cool, thanks.... I'll eventually get to the SS singles, I guess. I expanded the first two SS album articles and wrote the third, plus I just did the article for Fahey's The MGA Sessions. Her solo stuff is highly underrated, I think. I love her deep off-key vocal style. And Drama is the first Bananarama album I've bought since she left the group. I'm surprised at how good it is, since their 1990s stuff really sucked. -- eo 11:50, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: Break My Heart

I changed it from a redirect to a disambiguation page. I have no idea why it even redirected to that Hilary Duff page as the song was just an album track. -- eo 01:04, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
